Imagine you find yourself in a dangerous situation after an accident. You're hanging on a branch of a tree, and if you fall, it means certain death. But here's the twist: there's another person hanging from a different branch nearby. Sadly, you can't save yourself, and eventually, you will fall and lose your life. However, there's hope. If you save the other person, he has the ability to save you in return. It's the only way you can be saved, through his help. But here's the catch: he doesn't know about this possibility yet.
Now, if you choose to save that person, what would be your reason for doing so? Would you save him because you hope he'll repay the favor and save your life? Or would you save him simply because you believe it will bring you salvation (moksha)? Alternatively, would you choose to take a different course of action altogether?
